Terms of service
The rules for using the hosted clai.chat service, the agent hub and the sync stores, what storage costs, and what we do and do not promise.
Last updated: 2026-10-26.
These terms cover the hosted service at clai.chat: the docs, the agent hub,
the cloud sync stores, and the account you sign in with (the “service”). The
open-source clai CLI is separate: it is licensed under the MIT license in
the repository, and it sends nothing to
us unless you run a clai cloud command or a cchub: target. How we handle
personal data is described in the privacy policy.
By creating an account, you agree to these terms. Reading the docs and the hub, downloading a config and running a public agent need no account and no agreement.
Who we are
The service is run by Kinagtwo, Tampere, Finland (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at info@kinagtwo.fi.
Your account
- You sign in with GitHub, Google or a code sent to your email. You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you may bind it.
- Keep access to your email and sign-in providers secure, and revoke a CLI login you no longer use: anyone who can sign in as you, or holds a CLI key, can act in your name.
- One account per person. Do not create extra accounts to get around a suspension, a limit or a bill.
- Your handle is chosen once, on your first publish, and cannot be changed. Do not pick one that impersonates someone else or a brand you do not own.
What you publish
- You keep all rights in the agents, configs and comments you publish. You give us only the permission we need to store them, show them, serve them to anyone who asks, and delete them, so the hub works.
- Publishing is public until you withdraw the agent, hide the comment or delete your account. Anyone may read, download, run and reuse what you publish, and a copy already taken stays with the person who took it.
- Publish only what you have the right to publish. Do not publish another person’s work without their permission, and do not publish content that is illegal or that infringes someone else’s rights.
- Do not publish credentials. The form refuses the common key shapes, but you are responsible for what you paste.
- An agent can name tools, commands and MCP servers that run on the machine of whoever runs it. Do not use the hub to distribute malware, or an agent built to harm, deceive or exfiltrate data from the people who run it.
- We do not review or endorse an agent because it is listed. A rating or a comment is one user’s opinion, not ours.
Your synced files
- What you commit to your config and conversation stores is yours and stays private to your account. You give us only the permission we need to store it, count it and give it back to your machines.
- You are responsible for what you commit, including other people’s personal data inside your conversations, and for having the right to store it.
- The service is a sync service, not a guaranteed backup. Keep the copies on
your machines, which
claireads from anyway.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to:
- break the law or others’ rights;
- attack, probe or overload the service, or try to reach another account or its files;
- manipulate ratings or comments, for example with extra accounts or automation;
- store files unrelated to clai, or use the sync stores as a general file host;
- resell access to the service without our agreement;
- evade a suspension, a limit or a bill.
Storage and billing
- The docs, the hub and the config store are free. The conversation store is paid. The prices and limits are on the pricing page, and that page wins where it is more specific than these terms.
- The conversation store costs $1 a month as soon as it holds anything, even far less than 1 GB, plus $1 a month for each further GB (one billion bytes) or part of one. A month is billed on the most you stored in it.
- The first conversation commit needs a card on file. Payments are handled by Stripe, through its Checkout and customer portal. The seller of record, tax handling and invoices are shown at checkout and follow Stripe’s terms.
- If a payment fails, Stripe retries it for 7 days. After that, commits to the conversation store are refused until it is paid, but pulls keep working. After 30 days unpaid, or 30 days after your subscription ends, your synced conversations are deleted, oldest first. We email you a week before. The config store is never deleted for this, and the copies on your machines stay.
- You can end the subscription at any time by writing to us, or by deleting your account. You then pay for the month already started, and the rule above applies to the conversations still stored.
- If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from the contract. By adding a card you ask us to start at once; if you withdraw, you pay only for the part of the month used until then. You withdraw by writing to us.
- Fees for months already started are not refunded, except where the law requires it or where we decide to, for example when a fault on our side caused the charge.
- We may change prices for future months. We will tell you at least 30 days before a change takes effect, and you may end billing before it does.
Availability and your own copy
- We work to keep the service running and your files safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service, and we cannot promise that a hub agent or a synced file will always be available.
- Keep local copies of what you rely on.
claireads configs and conversations from your machine, so they keep working if the service does not. - We may change, add or remove features. We will give reasonable notice before removing something you rely on.
Reporting content
To report something on the hub that you believe is illegal or breaks these terms, write to info@kinagtwo.fi with its URL, why you believe so, and your name and email, unless the report concerns child sexual abuse material. We review each report promptly, tell you what we decided, and tell the author why we removed or restricted their content. Either of you can ask us to review that decision by replying, and a consumer may also take the dispute to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or a court.
Suspension and ending the service
- You can delete your account at any time from your account page. That cancels your card subscription and removes your data as the privacy policy describes. It cannot be undone. Storage used up to then is still billed.
- We may withdraw content, or suspend or delete an account, immediately when needed to protect the service or others, if it breaks these terms, publishes a credential, spreads malware, manipulates ratings, or does not pay. We will explain the reason where we can, and where the circumstances allow, give you the chance to pull your files first.
- We may stop offering the service. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and a way to pull your files, and the docs and the open-source CLI stay available.
No warranty, limited liability
- The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not responsible for loss of data, profits or business, or for indirect or consequential damage.
- A hub agent or config is code and settings from another user. Check it before you run it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what it does on your machine, or for what a model vendor does with what it sends.
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with the service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the event, or 50 euros if that is more.
- None of this limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or the mandatory rights of consumers.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a material change we will notify you by email or on your account page at least 30 days before it applies. If you keep using the service afterwards, the new terms apply. You may stop using the service, end billing and delete your account before then.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without its rules on conflicts of law. Disputes go to the Pirkanmaa District Court. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, you may bring a claim in the courts there, and if you live in Finland you may take a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi) after contacting us first.
