Chats and multi-vendor import
Continue multi-turn conversations and import transcripts from Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, Qwen, and Antigravity.
clai stores conversation threads as JSON under ~/.config/.clai/conversations/ so you can resume, branch, or inspect any chat from the terminal.
Replying and continuing threads
-re(-reply): Replies to the previous global query (globalScope.json), using that conversation as context for your next prompt.-dre(-dir-reply): Replies to the conversation bound to your current working directory (conversations/dirs/).clai replay(re) /clai dir-replay(dre): Re-prints the most recent global or directory-scoped message without calling a model (pass-rfor raw output).
clai q "Design a PostgreSQL table for webhook deliveries"
clai -re q "Add an index for pending retries and show the migration SQL"
clai -dre q "Now write the Go repository struct for that table"
Managing saved conversations
Use clai chat (shorthand c) to list, continue (and bind to your current directory), inspect, summarize, or delete saved conversations:
clai chat list
clai chat continue 0
clai chat dir
clai chat delete 0
Importing transcripts from external coding agents
clai can discover and continue conversation transcripts created by other coding agents on your machine, including:
- Claude Code and Codex (
claudextranscript sources) - OpenCode
- Gemini CLI
- Qwen
- Antigravity
Run clai chat list or clai chat continue to browse local and external conversations, import a thread into clai, and continue it with any configured model vendor. See Multi-vendor transcripts for how transcript normalization works.
